Longest Week in History

This has been the longest week ever.  All the hundreds of other times when I talk about how slow time is passing, I was lying.  This week, by far, wins for the slowest, longest week in history.  Mainly because we find out the gender tomorrow, and I’ve been anxiously counting down the weeks, days, hours until we know if this little bean inside me is a he or she.  I bet in 20 weeks, when I’m about to pop, I’m going to blog about how slow time is passing-and I’ll be counting down the hours till we can hold our baby in our hands.

Come to think of it, much of my life has been spent counting down.  I remember sending Boppy (my grandfather) letters up to North Dakota counting down the days left till we were going on vacation to see him, Christmas, or days left of school.  It’s amazing to think back on how much of your life is spent looking forward to the future.

Maybe that’s because the future looks so good.  Not saying that present day isn’t already wonderful- but the future holds so much surprise, that its hard not to imagine what’s behind the closed door.  Just think, tomorrow we could be celebrating a pretty little princess or momma’s boy.  Either way, I’m glad the “longest week in history” is over...naaaa, that’s such an overexertion--the longest week in history will be in July.
