9 month birthday!

Birthday Boy in the house!!!! Waaaaaaawhoooooooo! I’m 9 months old this month! Mom said this is a big deal because I’ve almost been outside of her longer than I was inside of her.  Whatever that means.

Luke teaching me how to count to 9.  Silly child, he must
not read my blog, clearly I'm the educated brother.

This month has been awesome! I’m pleased to report that I’m still huge. My exact stats won't come until I go to the doctor on the 10th. But, I can pretty much guarantee you that I'm in the 100th percentile for everything.  Mom and Mimi had to go shopping to buy me new clothes since I'm growing so fast.  People say I'm going to be as big as daddy!  Lucky me!! I just hope I get mom's hair.

I’ve done a lot of moving and shaking this month.  I can now stand all by myself and mom has caught me a few times moving my legs as I practice walking. I am also an expert stair climber.  I’m tired of Luke being able to move faster than me.  Soon I’ll be walking, so Luke better watch himself.  I continue to have 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on top.  The 4 on top are growing longer, so when I smile you can see them.  Mom thinks they are the cutest – so whenever I knock something over, I smile really big so mom won’t get upset with me.

My bedroom was too clean.  I fixed that in just 2 minutes.
Mom likes to pretend I'm still a baby.  I play along
only for the extra milk.

This month I got to watch more football with daddy, nap with daddy, and best of all, Luke and I get to climb all over him and play horsey. What’s even better is that our Bama football team continues to win!  Clearly, I’m their lucky charm.
Napping with daddy.  He keeps me warm
Daddy deemed our matching outfits as "lucky",
so we have to wear them every Saturday.
Another football game, another Saturday in
the exact same outfit.

Causing mischief
We took Christmas pictures with Aunt Christy and Uncle Justin and then Sarah and William came into town for Thanksgiving!!! O MY GOODNESSSSS why didn’t anyone warn me about this thanksgiving thing???  It was wild! Mimi cooked an Italian fest!  She even let me eat some cut up turkey and mashed potatoes.  Talk about delicious!!  I don’t even know what this stuff from a jar mom feeds me is.  Gross.  I wish Thanksgiving Day was everyday!

With Mimi after we ate Thanksgiving.
Please come live with us Mimi!!  We deserve better food.

Aunt Christy took this picture.  She always puts a smile on my face.

I’m learning about this thing called Christmas.  Apparently, its Baby Jesus’s birthday and we have to wear Christmas themed clothes everyday.   Where’s the birthday cake?  I’ve been looking in the kitchen cabinets daily; its bound to show up eventually.   Last weekend we went on a train ride to the North Pole to see Santa.  It was amazing! Next year, I’ll be big enough to tell Santa what I want for Christmas!  This year, I’ll just have to settle for whatever Mom thinks I want.  Luke asked Santa for a shooter, Thomas the Train & Elmo books, and M&Ms.

Luke refused to take a picture with me.
Such drama.
Well folks, that’s all I’ve got for you.  Soon we’ll be going up in the air to get to Tampa to celebrate Baby Jesus’s birthday! How exciting! Maybe I’ll find the birthday cake in Grandma’s kitchen cabinets?!?!  I can’t wait to play all day with William and Sarah and get to meet my cousin Susan for the first time!! She and I are going to talk all about cats because I love cats - especially their furry tail!

Have a great month & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Love me,
GBaby

another one of Aunt Christy's pictures. Check out how
pretty I look.

Mom is really proud of her Christmas decorations.  Let it be known
that Luke is the only one that has broken any ornaments. #IamPerfect

School picture day.  Homeboy cleans up well.

This was a bid day for me.  I finally figured out how to turn around and stand up
while being strapped into the shopping cart.  I'm about to escape

This is Kristen form the Y.  I nap on her while mom  exercises.
She also takes Luke's pacis away. hahaha.

This is Eric Tucker (Luke's BFF) and Luke wresting with me.
They disguise it by saying they are giving me a "hug".  Its ok
I love the attention and soon i'll be able to wrestle back!

Happy 8 Month Birthday to ME

HAPPY 8 MONTHS TO ME!!! I’ve been partying so hard that I didn’t have time to write a 7-month birthday blog post.  Please accept my apology- but once you understand how awesomely busy I’ve been, you’ll understand.

Happy 6-month Birthday to me in my Birthday Suit!
Since my 6- month blog post I’ve been doing public appearances, jamming out all night thanks to getting my top teeth, and I got sick from staying up all night at Grandma & Papa’s house in Tampa.  See, I told you- its been a busy two months!

The Lowman cousins from Nashville came to visit!
More milk Papoose!!
My 7th month birthday started off with a bang when Big Brother decided to show off his artistic abilities using a sharpie.  He drew all over the walls, leather couch, fabric chairs, dinner chairs, kitchen cabinets, and refrigerator.  I was busy drinking dinner, which is my alibi, but really I might have helped him get ahold of the sharpie…us brothers have to stick together.  It’s us against the parental units.

He'll be in timeout until he's 18

In other news, my Grandma & Papa BOTH came to visit me!! We had a blast! Papa played with me nonstop while Grandma took me shopping and fed me food---speaking of food- I now can eat baby food! Yay! For a while there, I was pretty stubborn and decided I didn’t want to eat anything but milk.  Once Aunt Lynn taught me that I could eat other things than the questionable veggie nasty stuff mom forced me to eat, then I started to eat.  Now mom feeds me the good stuff I want-like yogurt and apples- not peas and carrots.

Papa makes a great jungle gym
I have them wrapped around my little finger
I also went to the doctor a couple times. Once for a check up, and the rest because I’ve been sick.  I blame it all on Luke.  He comes home from Mothers Day Out with boogers all over his face and sticky figures.  Gross.
See look, how do you explain this? #weareNOTrelated
The past two months also included tons of celebrations!! Three baby showers, Mimi’s Birthday, Papoose’s Birthday, and tons of my friend’s birthday parties!  I’ll celebrate anything as long as it includes cakes.

Aunt Ann, William & Sarah came in town for Nora's Baby shower!
Most recently Mom took me and Luke to Tampa to visit Grandma & Papa, and Aunt Ann, Uncle John, William & Sarah.  We all had a blast- and the best part was I even got to see Uncle Jim The Great Guy and Aunt Cyndy too!!!  We played in their pool and ate cookies! Everyone took the toddlers to Busch Gardens and Aunt Ann stayed back with me and played with me ALL DAY LONG!!!  She was so good to me I tried to get her to adopt me.  Maybe at Christmas she’ll adopt me.  Over all it was a GREAT vacation!! Even the flight home was great- Mom passed me around on the plane to some young twin girls who adored me and fed me milk! Talk about the life of luxury!

Playing in Uncle Jim & Aunt Cyndy's pool

Can you believe Luke knows more about iPhones than Uncle Jim?!?
The twin cousins
Sarah hugs tightly
My first Halloween wasn’t exactly what I expected.  I dressed up as Cookie Monster, Luke was Elmo, and Daddy was Ernie.  Big Brother told me that I’d get so much candy that I could eat it for days and never run out.  Wrong.  I got no candy- mom and dad took it all.  Thief.

Ernie looks much smaller on the TV.
Hay ride with Daddy!!
I’m sure y’all are all dying to know my stats.  I’m 20 lbs, about 27 inches tall, and I have 3 teeth (my top tooth just came in!).  People say I look just like my daddy, which I love, but mostly I hope I’m as strong as daddy soon!  I can crawl faster than most can walk, I climb on everything, and when the parentals aren’t looking, big brother and I wrestle.  My favorite food is still sweet potatoes, I’ve spent the night at Mimi’s house TWICE, and sometimes I’ll sleep thought the night—all depends on how much food mom will let me eat.

Phewwww that was along blog post.  Don’t worry party people; I’ll do my best to never skip a month again.  Hope yall have had a great 2 months too!!  I hear we only have 11 more weeks until my FIRST CHRISTMAS!!!! OMGGGGG I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!

Ok well until next month,

Love,
GBaby

Mimi took us to Disney On Ice and Luke got the biggest bag of popcorn in the world and a real sword!

6-month Birthday!

Happy ½ Birthday to ME!!!!!  Can you believe its already been 6 months? You can’t, can you….I know. Its hard to believe.  But its true. Being 6 months old has been fun.  Grandma came to visit me, got to start eating solid food, learned how to crawl, got some new toys, watched some football, and best of all, I get to play with Luke more!

Happy 1/2 Birthday to MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Watched my FIRST Bama Football game.
Just kidding- I slept through it.
But look how good we all look in our bama gear
My month started out with an awesome visit from Grandma.  She came to see me and drop off tons of boxes that mom later took to Jr. League. Not sure what all that was about. Anyway, Grandma and I had a blast- we hung out, snuggled, and of course we went shopping- because that’s what we do when Grandma comes to visit!  We also got to celebrate Daddy's 31st birthday by going to to a fancy dinner- but don't you people worry- I behaved myself by throwing food and banging the silverware on the table.

Grandma loves me!!!!
Old Man's Birthday Dinner

So I’m pretty mobile now days. First, I figured out how to move around on my belly, then I started to use my arms and pulled my way to whatever I wanted, but now, I’m starting to figure out how to move my legs and arms together to crawl.  I’m going to give people a run for their money once I get a bit more coordinated!  My newest tick is to take Luke’s toys when he isn’t looking.

Can someone give me directions to Mimi's or Grandma & Papa's house…please. I'm desperate.
All this crawling around nonsense makes me tired- and makes mom thirsty for green drinks.
Luke has graduated from Primrose and now going to Mothers Day Out.  A more appropriate name for his new school would be George Gets Mom All Day School  - and its awesome.  The best part is that on Tuesday and Thursday, when Luke doesn’t have school, we get to play together!  I love watching Luke and he loves giving me kisses.  Sometimes he gives me hugs by lying on top of me- that part isn’t much fun - homeboy ain’t no lightweight.

(bottom) Last Day of Primrose with Ms. Shanti, Ms. Jenny, & Ms. Robin

After school we take baths together.
after baths, we jump on Daddy.

To celebrate my ½ birthday, mom too me AND Luke to the doctors for shots.  How sweet of mom to make Luke go through pain with me!  I’m 27.5 inches long and weight 18lbs even.  Luke weighs in at 32.4 lbs and 36.5 inches tall!  Eeeeekkkkk  Hes huge- but I’ll catch up to him soon! Mom is teaching me how to eat solids.  So far, I like sweet potatoes best.

Do you people see what I have to live with?  Look at him. Hooligan.

I'm  chaperoning Luke and Linlee's date.
That’s all I’ve got folks.  As you can tell, I keep myself busy with eating, sleeping, shopping, and snuggling.  I know, it’s a tough life- but someones gotta do it.

Love me,
GBaby

Luke gets all of Mimi's attention because my car seat is too heavy.
Just wait till I can walk…good thing Mimi has two hands!

5 month bday blog

Can you believe that its already been another month?  Time sure flies when you’re as busy as me!! In fact, this has been my busiest month! I learned how to sit up, sleep through the night (almost- some nights I still like to mess with mom), visited Knoxville to see Grandma and Papa, and got tubes put in my ears!

We both love hang in out with Papoose in his big chair!
Farris Family Bobsled Team.
So far, being able to sit up has been my most signification victory.  Now, I get a glimpse of the TV when Luke is watching, I can chew my feet easier, and most importantly, I can reach for toys!  I broke my first glass the other day while reaching to play with it.  Not sure if Mom understands how long my arms are- basically I’m a mini Shaq.

See look- I'm sitting up. Can't believe Luke let me drive his 1st car.
I wish this car would go faster.
We (minus Luke) took my first road trip to Knoxville to play with Grandma and Papa.  I had a blast!! Got to play all day with Grandma, roam around a new house and play with toys I’ve never seen before. However, I’m not sure how much fun Mom and Dad had- they had to clean out the house to get it ready to sell.  Glad Luke didn’t come- he only knows how to make messes (that’s what Mom says).

Found this picture while in Knoxville.
Can you believe Mom use to be a kid?!?!? How is that even possible?
Luke loves taking pictures with me.
In other news, I had my first surgery! Well, I’m not really sure if you can call it a surgery, since it only took 5 minutes- but my friend Dr. Scott Hill put these tube things in both my ears- now I can actually hear what people are saying.   I pretty much like what people are saying to me- unless its Luke saying “no babe, no babe” to me when I take his Legos.  I can also now hear myself talk!! Let me tell you- I have a voice of an angel.  Especially when I wake up in the middle of the night to jabber!

This was right after my 5 minute surgery.
Mom gave me the day off and let me nap on her.

This is my visor that keeps water off my face and ears.
I make even the silliest things look cute.
BTW- check out my arm rolls.
Next month is also a big month! I’ll be ½ a year old and Luke will stop full time school and only go to MDO on Mon/Wed/Fri…. which means we will have more time to play together and mess up the house!  This is going to be great! Luke already told me he’s going to teach me how to throw toys! Boooooommmmm my life is awesome!

Check out my handsome daddy- I'm going to look just like him (if i'm lucky)

Hope you people had an eventful month too! Thanks for stopping by to read my monthly birthday blog! Until next month…

Love me,

Remy's 1st Bday party! My first bday invitation.
I slept through the entire thing.
