3 Month Birthday!

Another month, another birthday…Yea, no big deal, I’m just a 3-month older now.  This month was TONS of fun; I experienced my first airplane ride, hung out with cousins, continued to sleep all day and party all night, celebrated Mom’s Birthday and best of all, I’m still king of the house!

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

My first plane ride was unbelievable!! I flew with Mom to Tampa and back. (Luke flew with Daddy on a different plane)  It was everything plus MORE than daddy told me about.  He and I both love airplanes- in fact, my nursery is decorated with airplanes everywhere! Whenever we have extra hangout time, daddy lets me watch airplane shows on YouTube and teaches me about the aerodynamics of flying.  While the plane ride was fun, it was exhausting, so I slept through the entire flight.

airports are so much fun I forgot to wake up                                Golfing with Daddy- I'm his lucky charm

Tampa was Ok, I guess, but really it was just too much for me.  Grandma and Aunt Ann have things planned all day and it really cut into my sleep time.  I think they forgot that all I care about is sleeping and eating… But that’s ok- because the places they took me were super doper cool! Like the aquarium, splash pad, and shopping nonstop! Luke and Sarah run around the house, screaming and playing with each other all-day-long!! Its like they never get tired! I can't wait to be big enough to play with them- until then, I like to play baby doll with Sarah so she will feed me!

I already have Cousin Sarah trained
Papa is my buddy
we both have the same hair style

At the Aquarium

I could sleep on Grandma all the day long

Then we celebrated Mom’s 29th birthday!! That’s old. For real, that means she’s been alive for 348 months!!!!! I’m ok with it though, only because I get to drink sugar milk for the next couple days!

How embarrassing…Big Brother can't control himself around chocolate.
Out with the ladies for Mom's Bday lunch.
(I'm so much more sophisticated than Luke)

Of course I have to tell everyone how big I am- I weight in this month at 15 ½ lbs- no shots this month- but I did bust BOTH my ear drums while in Tampa and even busted another a couple weeks later.  Once they bust, I’m not in too much pain- other than the nasty medicine daddy gives me. Icky icky! I can roll over to my belly and pick up and move my head.  My other favorite thing to do is stand up and look around.  So far, I've been pretty happy with my surroundings.

William is my favorite cousin
He taught me all about legos and hawks

Well, party people, I hope your month was as fun as mine! Until next time!

Love Me!

Silly Luke- he thought shaving cream was sunscreen.
This is probably the best he has ever smelled- trust me!

2-month Birthday!

Listen people….I’m TWO-months old!!! How in the world did that happen? I went to sleep, drank some milk, and the next thing I knew, Mom told me I’m 2 months old!   Crazy things are happening around here….
Hello Ladies.
To celebrate my birthday, Mom took me to the doctor to get shots.  I’ll get her back when she’s old and I take away her driver license, but until then, I’m stuck doing whatever she tells me.  My stats from the doctor’s office are pretty impressive, if I say so myself; I’m 24 inches long and weight 14 lbs. 4.5oz.  Yes people, that’s huge- in the 95th percentile huge.  I’m sleeping pretty well too- about 5 hours at night time- and I eat even better!

I sleep for a living, what do you do?

My Big Brother Luke is pretty good to me.
He'll give me milk when Mom's not looking.
This month I did some pretty cool things-- rode my first train, got baptized, gained a few jelly rolls around my midsection, took naps, went on walks, celebrated Mother’s Day, napped on top of Daddy, and played with Big Brother Luke.
On Thomas the Train.  Luke was beyond crazy about it.

Kelly's Wedding with Mom's friends.
The most exciting thing this Month was getting baptized.  Although I slept through the entire thing, it was a very important day for me.  Mimi, Grandma, Papa, Grandpa, Monc, Aunt Lynn, Papoose, Uncle Jim, Aunt Cyndy, Luke, and my parents celebrated the big day with me by showering me with gifts, taking me to brunch, and give me snuggles all day!  Uncle Jim and Aunt Cyndy were my “fill-in” Godparents since Aunt Ann and Uncle John weren’t able to make it.  They’re pretty cool and told me that if I move to North Dakota with them, they’ll buy me a horse and let me eat candy every day!!

For Mother’s Day, we went all out! Luke and I got mom a spa day and 36 pink and white roses!  She loved it!  We also got Daddy to make dinner and we all pitched in to help clean up so mom didn’t have to.  Next year I might consider letting her sleep in…

Love my Mommy

Playing with Mimi!
Well people, that’s all I have for my 2nd month of life.  Its been a fun month but get ready, I’m just a couple of months shy of conquering the world!

Love me,
GBaby

I have no idea what Luke is doing.  Maybe digging for gold?

I'm going to use this as blackmail one day.

Welcome to the World, George!

Hello World!!!
My name is George Leonelli Farris and I’m brand spankin’ new! My big brother Luke has retired from blog posting and passed the job onto me for the next year.  So far, the world has been pretty good to me- I eat, sleep, make dirty diapers, and spit up- not as bad as I thought it would be! To start things off, let me tell you about my birth day!

I'm so fresh

I've got Grandma & Mimi wrapped around my finger

I slept on this blue light for a couple days
Sarah is my future babysitter
Mom got induced on the morning of March 5th (39 weeks 4 days).   Everything went as planned until her epidural stopped working.  It might have been my fault- just wanted to give mom a run for her money!  She cried, yelled, told daddy to never touch her again, and before she knew it, I popped out.  I know all the pain was worth it- look at me! I arrived at 3:15pm, weighting 8 lbs, and 21 inches long! Yup, that makes me bigger than my “big” brother at his birth- almost a full 2 inches taller!

My family and tons of visitors welcomed me into this crazy world.  My Aunt Ann and Cousin Sarah from Tampa visited for a week then my Grandma Karen flew up to see me too! In between all of that, I had a baby shower!! I had a blast being passed around and cuddled with all day by the ladies!

Aunt Katie and Aunt Lee loving on me
Now days, you can find me chilllaxin’ at home, drinking milk or sleeping.  My best friend is my big brother-he gives me the passy when it falls and kisses me when I cry.  My other best friend is my daddy- he looks just like me, but taller, and tells me all about Alabama football.

Daddy makes the perfect pillow
Easter marked my 1-month birthday! We celebrated with a neighborhood Easter egg hunt, church, and brunch with the family (which I just slept through).  The Easter bunny got me chocolate, books, and stuffed animals! I let mom eat all my chocolate :)  This first month of life has been quiet eventful!! Hope all of you had a wondering Easter too!

Big Brother, Little Brother

Hello Everyone!!

I’m on top of life right now, not because Mom just let me eat two cookies, because I’M GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!! This is the biggest deal ever!  I also got word today its a BOY!!!! Holy smokes, I can’t contain my excitement.

I’m going to teach him to spit up, throw food, pee during diaper changes, and how to cheer on the Tide!!  I’ve been waiting my entire life (15-months) to become a big brother and he’ll be making his big entrance around March 9th- perfect timing, so he doesn’t interrupt football season.

Mom and Dad have named him George Leonelli Farris.  Just like me, he is named after two grandfathers.  “George” is for Mom’s paternal grandfather, George Neidhardt and “Leonelli” is for dad’s maternal grandfather, Joseph Leonelli.  We both have some seriously big shoes to fill!

In other news, life is going great! Last week Papoose (Joseph Leonelli) turned 90 YEARS OLD!! How is that even possible?  It will be the year 2103 when I turn 90!!!! Maybe by then, we’ll be driving space ships to work! Anyway-Papoose had a big birthday party with all the family and it was a blast!!!

The football season has been ok.  Last weekend was tough, but Mom and Dad had friends over, which meant I got to spend the entire game playing with little people like me!  We played chase, ate food, and even got to dump all the toys out to play!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you folks.  I’m sure George will be in charge of writing a monthly blog once he decides to wake up and join the world.   Until then, take care and I’ll stay cute!

Luke
