Happy 9-month Birthday

Party people in the house! Its time to celebrate my 9-month Birthday! This was the best month of my life!

Doing my Birthday Dance!
Mom and Dad decided to ditch me at Mimi’s for 10-days while they went to some place called Paradise.  They packed 2 massive suitcases, tons of sunscreen, and left in the middle of the night.  For a while, I thought my dream of living with Mimi came true, until we FaceTimed and mom said she’d see me soon.  Living with Mimi, even though it was just temporary, was what I call Paradise.  I got to sleep in, never had to cry to be fed, had afternoon naps on Papoose’s lap, listened to the birds chirp in the morning, and got to tear up her house and I never got in trouble!  Sadly, it all came to an end…now its back to the daily grid of being in charge of waking up the house at 5am, putting the toys back on the floor and spitting out my dinner.

This is their "paradise"
This is my "Paradise"
I also got my FIRST TOOTH!! It’s the coolest thing ever.  Its on my bottom gum, is white and very sharp.  I’ve really been able to destroy some toys with it- I can’t even imagine what its going to be like when I have two or four or a mouth full of teeth! I hope they look like Nellie’s teeth.

Table surfing in my Hawaiian gear from Uncle Jim & Aunt Cyndy

Speaking of Nellie, she turned 3-years old this month! She got to eat two dog bones and played at the dog park the next day.   This month I also went on my first swing set, ate my first cracker, and I can now drink from a sippy cup!  Booooyeaaa. Aint no baby here.

My big sister. We almost look like twins
In other news, I’m excited about the weather warming up.  Mom promised me to take me the YMCA pool and teach me to swim.  But, I’m really going to scope out the new girl babies in town- with my new arm muscles from crawling and pulling up, I’m sure to score a playdate.

Hope everyone had their one little piece of paradise last month.  Next month is going to be pretty major too- Maybe I'll learn to walk???

I’ll stay cute,
Luke

Happy 8-Months!

Hello World! I’m 8-months old today!! I have to keep reminding myself that I’m 8-months old and not 8-years old.  I mean, I can do so many things that I feel like I could be 8-years old.  This month, I learned how to pull up and cruise on furniture, I can push my high chair across the house, open all the cabinets in the kitchen, crawl into the fire place, crawl upstairs, pull out lights plugged into the wall, and hide under the chair and wait for mom to freak-out when she can’t find me.
Happy Birthday to ME!
This month of love was full of fun! I got my first card in the mail for Valentines day from my Great Uncle Jim and Aunt Cyndy.  Sometimes when I get bored I like to steal the cards off the table and eat them. I took my second airplane trip to Florida to visit the grand parental units and watch mom run a ½ marathon.  It was a blast! I played in the hot tub, rode a bike, stole toys from Sarah, broke some stuff and Grandma’s house, celebrated William’s 4th Birthday, and even got new clothes!

This is me with Papa (in his banana bike suit) and Grandma (in her golf outfit).
They never change clothes
Isn't my Aunt Ann awesome?  (I refuse to sit still for pictures.)
Bossy Sarah, trying to pull me down
Playing with the big kid, William
My favorite things to do this month is sleep with Daddy and eat.  I eat and sleep a lot- which apparently is also just like Daddy!  We’re twins- with a 28 year delay.  I can now eat yogurt, all baby food, and sometimes I like finger foods- but it depends on my mood.  According to the airport luggage scale I’m 21.5 lbs and about 28 inches long.  My other favorite thing to do is have slumber parties with Mimi or Grandpa and GMon.  It’s like being at a 5 start all-inclusive resort and I secretly hope mom and dad forget to pick me up.

Next month is a big one for me! I can’t wait to tell you all about it!  Hope everyone had a wonderful February full of love, fun, growing, and getting into trouble!

I’ll stay cute,
Luke

7-months!!

Holy smokes I’m 7 months old!! Is this even real? It feels like just yesterday that I was learning how to sit up…and now I’m crawling!!  My crawling, more like an army crawl, isn’t even efficient, but I can get to where I want to go.  Most of the time, I crawl to Nellie or to a toy.  So many other things have happened this month too!

socks are cutting off my circulation

I experienced my first snow day!  Mom and I had a blast playing in the snow.  Daddy got stuck at work, so we played the next day.  I like snow, but not as much as Nellie- she runs around eating the snow.  That dog will eat anything!  The best part of a snow day is getting to play with daddy while he works at home!
Can't move…too many layers
the chicks dig my kicks

I’ve also learned how to eat solid food.  I can even lick the spoon!  I pretty much will eat anything…except vegetables…unless they are mixed with apples or bananas!  When mom isn’t looking I’ll put my hand in the food bowl and then let Nellie lick my hand.  I love Nellie, she’s my best friend!

Come kiss me
Mimi had some work done at her house, so we had a slumber party at my house for 3 days!!! It was a blast- we stayed up all night, snuggled, and she feed me nonstop!  #staycation!

I speak Italian with Papoose
The usual stuff happened too this month- being dragged along to shopping trips, playing at the YMCA’s nursery, sleeping with daddy, playing the pacifier game, lunch date with Katie Pauley, having slumber parties with the grandparents….yea, its been a great month and one month closer to being a big 1-year old!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful month-next month maybe I’ll get my first tooth??

I’ll stay cute,
Luke

This is going to be my first car

Half a year old!

I’m 6-months old today!! Whaaawhoooo.  Half way to being a hot shot 1-year old!  Life has been pretty good lately.  I’m 18 lbs 13 oz and 27.25 inches long; which places me in the 75th percentile for both.  Not too shabby.  My daddy is still my best friend and the only person that I’ll calm down for.  My new game this month is to blow bubbles and give people raspberries! I also caught my first cold.  No biggie, but it was fun watching Mom & Dad freak out over me.  I also fell off the bed while showing off my rolling skills! Whoopies!

Hi everyone!  Happy Birthday too me!
So, let me tell you more about my awesomely cool month.  First, the parental units went on vacation to New York City, leaving me behind at the Grandparents.  They all treat me like a king!  Mom & Dad keep me on a strict schedule, where the grandparents let me do whatever I want!

Papoose is my favorite- we play all day!

Next, I flew with Mom on my first airplane ride to Tampa.  I slept the entire flight, but at the end, the pilot let me sit in the cockpit with him.  My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw all the buttons and toys! What a fun job!  In Tampa, I went to William’s Christmas show at school, played in my first swim pool, hung out with Sarah, sang Christmas carols at church, made lefsa, and opened a gazillion presents!  Then we flew home and got to do it all over again in Birmingham! I have so many toys, I get a bit dizzy trying to figure out which one to play with.  I also got a gazillion outfits.  With means mom dresses me up like a doll everyday.

TSA doesn't know, but I flew the plane.
My first time in a pool- aka a gigantic bath tub.

Chillin' with Sarah.  She's pretty cool until she takes my toys.

Heading out to pick up my girlfriends.  Just Kidding- going to work, someones gotta put food on the table.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. 2013 was the best year of my life (daaaa)! I wonder what’s going to happen in 2014? I have no idea…..maybe I’ll learn to walk? Get a girlfriend? Say my first word? …. Whatever I end up doing, I’m sure it will be a fun adventure!

I’ll stay cute,

Luke

Not in Tampa anymore. Gotta bundle up!
